Cotton at this weight does two useful things. It lets air move through on a forty-degree afternoon, and it falls in a soft line down the body rather than standing away from it. The cloth here is 100% premium cotton in an off-white base, printed with small yellow and grey florals that hold their colour through repeated washing far better than large dark blocks would. It also takes a warm iron without shine marks.

The cut is a short kurti top with a round neckline finished by a keyhole and a tie-up at the front, and 3/4 flared sleeves that open gently at the forearm. Fit is regular and comfortable, ending at the hip, with enough ease that nothing pulls when you raise an arm. The size range covers XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL and 5XL, plus size included.

Styling is simple with a base this light. Blue denims and oxidised silver for daily wear and college wear. Beige palazzos or ivory linen pants with juttis when the day is more traditional. One printed cotton kurti top per order, stitched in Jaipur and sent out in biodegradable packaging.
