Nothing sits right after a heavy week, and any skirt with a fixed button waist will tell you so by evening. This one uses a foldover waistband instead, so the fit moves with you: fold it down for a lower rise on a slow day, keep it up for a smooth line under a fitted top. One skirt, two rises, no safety pins.

Black cotton, ankle length, cut A-line so the flare starts at the hip rather than the knee and the hem walks properly instead of wrapping round your legs. It is wide enough to sit cross-legged in, which is more than most long skirts manage. Put it with a plain tee for a market morning, a satin blouse for dinner, or a short kurti and jhumkas for a festive evening. Cotton takes a cold machine wash and a shade dry, and black holds its depth longer away from direct sun. Waist sizes are stocked XS through 3XL.
