Cotton this weight behaves well in black, which is not true of every fabric. Thin cotton in a dark shade goes translucent in sunlight and fades to grey within a season. The cloth used here is a premium cotton with enough body to stay opaque, and the ivory and muted gold floral print sits on the surface without stiffening it. It still breathes, so black stops being a summer problem.

Cut into two pieces. The top is a kurti shape with a V-neckline, long sleeves and a soft flare from below the bust, with an asymmetric printed panel running down the front. The palazzo is wide-leg, full from the waist, matched in the same printed black cotton. Sizes go XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL, 6XL, 7XL, 8XL, 9XL and 10XL, one of the deepest plus size runs we stock.

Wash it cold, alone, in the first few rounds, and dry it inside out in shade; that is what keeps a black cotton black. Oxidised silver reads better than gold against this print, and a pair of block heels finishes it for an evening function. Flats and bare ears take it straight to office wear. One top and one palazzo per box. Cut and printed in Jaipur, shipped in biodegradable packaging.
