Straight cut with side slits running up from the hip, which is the one detail that makes a straight kurta wearable for eight hours: you can sit cross legged, climb into an auto and take the stairs two at a time without the hem fighting you. It suits anyone who finds an anarkali too much for a normal working day but wants more than a plain tunic. It comes in XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL and 3XL.

Pure cotton in black, with white thread embroidery ringing the neckline, plus paisley motifs spread across the front panel. The 3/4 sleeves end a few inches above the wrist, which keeps them out of the way of a keyboard or a kadhai. The cotton is the reason it survives a Delhi June.

Monochrome makes the styling decisions for you. White palazzos and silver jhumkas for the office, black mojaris and a light dupatta if the day ends at a function, nude lips with a sharp line of kohl either way. Hand wash it alone the first two times, because white thread on a black ground is worth protecting. Packed in biodegradable material from our Jaipur unit.
